Central Lansing: Capital city
Enjoy the elbow room downtown from posh bars to baseball games

Brian Fisher | NOISE

Slowly but surely, the Lansing downtown is attracting more and more attention and buzz. There's the planned Stadium District across from Oldsmobile Park, new loft developments like The Arbaugh and Motor Wheel Lofts and new restaurants and bars that continue to pop up overnight. If you're near the Capitol, make your way down Washington Square to find a mix of restaurants and shops. There are plenty of great places to grab a quick bite, be it a burger or a gourmet salad; and a few places for a nice, stylish sit-down dinner.

Or head over to the neighborly eastside where you'll find friendly coffee shops, lounges and businesses eager to welcome you in and chat a while.
