baseball writers.
Peter Morris, Lansing’s baseball laureate will be signing copies of the 2004
Michigan Notable Book, Baseball Fever: Early Baseball in Michigan ; CASEY Award
and Seymour Medal (for best baseball book) award winning, A Game of Inches;
Level Playing Fields; and But Didn’t We Have Fun?
Tom Stanton, 2008 Michigan Author Award recipient for Ty and the Babe; Hank
Aaron and the Home Run That Changed America, a Reader’s Digest pick of the
month; The Road to Cooperstown, a poignant true story about a father-and-son
road trip; and the Tiger Stadium memoir The Final Season, which was named best
baseball book of the year as winner of both the Casey and Dave Moore awards. He
also edited the Detroit Tigers Reader.
Gary Gillette, the co-editor of The ESPN Baseball Encyclopedia; Tigers Corner
2007: An Annual Guide to Detroit Tigers Baseball; a myriad of other baseball
